Description:

In recent years we have witnessed remarkable material progress, yet may feel as though we lack the perspective, wisdom, and confidence to enjoy a balanced and meaningful life. Even though Buddha’s teachings originated more than two millennia ago, this ancient wisdom still continues to illuminate the human condition in the twenty-first century and reveal our limitless potential for freedom and happiness.
Each class consists of a guided relaxing meditation and talk to help us solve our daily problems and find the lasting happiness we seek. Beginners welcome. No need to bring anything or wear special clothing.

About the Meditation Classes:

Meditation classes offer the chance to learn how to make our mind calm and peaceful. By training in meditation we will learn to develop inner peace, giving us the ability to stay happy and positive all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Meditation offers an opportunity to change the way we react to people and difficult situations in our life. Learn how to feel calm, peaceful and relaxed, no matter what problems are arising. Using simple yet profound techniques, discover how to feel happy and have a positive outlook by gaining more control of your mind through meditation.

In these classes, we learn meditations to unwind and relax, develop stronger concentration and to settle our busy minds.

This series is intended for students with a vinyasa yoga practice, who are interested in deepening their understanding of external forms, the internal forms of breath and bandha, yoga philosophy and its intersection with psychology and neuroscience. Students can expect to gain skill, confidence and benefit from practice like never before. So get your yoga on early and have the rest of your Saturday to enjoy other fall activities!

In case you’re considering enrolling in one of Jen Peter’s 200-hour teacher trainings in 2019 (more details coming soon), this would be a great way to sample her teaching style, and as an added incentive, those taking this series can apply $50 towards tuition!

The Art of Intentional Living Workshop w/ Audra Malerba & Jessica Finver

Life is too precious to waste doing anything less than what makes us happy. Now is the time for you to take control of who you want to be. No matter where you are or what you are going through, begin again and own the power of choice.

Through a guided meditation you will work towards acknowledging your inner critic, and rediscovering your true self. The physical asana practice will invite you to discover ‘who you are being vs who you want to be for yourself and others.’ You create your world with your words and thoughts, therefore, inquiry on truth and belief will allow you to crack open to possibility and freedom in your life, and discover the power of intentional living.

The promise: You will gain a new understanding of listening to yourself and others and obtain tools to clearly identity what works and does not work in specific areas of your life.

Come open and willing to explore who you are. Bring a journal, pen and yoga mat. Dress comfortably for a yoga practice and discussion.
